ABOUT KELLY
 

Matthew Kelly is a global operations and technology leader with over 28 years of experience in the financial services industry. He is widely recognized for his expertise building multi-billion dollar operating platforms for investment managers and global banks. He is committed to leveraging his capabilities and passion for the global good and believes the Climate Crisis requires urgent action. 

 

Currently serving as the SVP, Global Head of Digital Transformation and Intelligent Automation at Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM), Matthew is actively working to modernize the work experience for partners around the globe. He oversees implementing digital transformation and automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.

 

Before joining NTAM, Matthew led Product, Programs, and Process Management at Societe Generale. In this role, he led Process Reengineering, Offshoring, Enterprise Data Governance, Digital Transformation, and the Project Management Office. He also oversaw the go-to-market strategy for an integrated client servicing platform.

 

Matthew has held leadership positions in prominent financial institutions, including Credit Suisse, where he served as the Regional Head of Shared Services in Asia. Matthew started his career as a consultant for IBM's Business Innovation Group, where he led consulting engagements for top-tier investment banks. He also led an Innovation Lab in the Global Commercial & Investment Bank at Bank of America.

 

Matthew studied Computer Science & Information Systems at Northeastern University in Boston. Additionally, he earned an MBA from the University of Washington, focusing on Finance & Risk Management. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with a long history of working with NGOs like the UN World Food Programme, the UN High Commission on Refugees, the Financial Services Volunteer Corp, and the Clinton Global Initiative.
