ABOUT LIVINGSTON

 

Mark Livingston is a life-long consultant who has spent his entire professional career as a management/technology consultant. He has worked at several leading consulting firms, including Deloitte, Kearney, Cognizant, and Infosys. He served as a Partner at Kearney for over 13 years. He served as the CEO of Latin America, based out of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Additionally, he was the CEO of Consulting at Cognizant for over eight years. Most recently, he served as CEO of Infosys Consulting for over three years and conducted a significant turn-around program for that business. Mark has worked with top-tier clients across multiple industry sectors on large-scale transformations, Board-level strategy programs, and many cost turn-around initiatives.

 

Mark retired from Consulting in May 2022. In 2020, he was honored to receive an award as one of The 2021 Top 25 Consultants. Most recently, in 2021, Mark received further recognition from the consulting industry by being the sole recipient of the Consulting Industry Life-Time Achievement Award. Additionally, Mark is a distinguished member of the Forbes Magazine Technology Council. 

 

As a follow-on from his 35 years as a consultant, Mark most recently joined the VC firm Hangar 75. Mark's role as a Senior Partner is to spearhead platform expansion through strategic Partnerships with the most innovative global institutions. Mark is driving the fund's growth and is tasked with scaling all aspects of their Accelerator Platform, allowing deployment of over $1.5B in capital across ~1,300 start-up ventures. As part of Hangar's mission statement, at least 10% of the Ventures need to be around sustainability and companies focused on fundamentally improving the environment. 

 

Mark is a proud veteran and served as an Officer in the United States Air Force for five years. As an Officer in the USAF, Mark was a Nuclear Missile Officer in the Minuteman missile silos and controlled over 150 nuclear weapons. Additionally, while in the USAF, Mark also worked with Boeing and IBM to develop a survival communication system in the event of a nuclear environment. 

 

Mark started his college career at the University of Alabama. After attending Alabama for two years, Mark transferred and graduated from Mississippi State University, earning a degree in Agricultural Economics. Additionally, Mark earned an MBA from the University of Missouri while serving in the USAF. Mark pursues an active lifestyle in his spare time and is passionate about the outdoors. He is an accomplished hiker and Alpine mountain climber. Additionally, he has been a big wave surfer for over 50 years.
