Kwamena Aidoo

Kwamena Aidoo was previously a Director and co-founder at Cannon Capital. At this $100MM private equity firm, he led the firm’s research and thesis development practice, assisted in building the firm’s investment processes, and managed portfolio companies. As a hands-on Investment manager, Kwamena was instrumental in implementing operations strategies that enabled his early-stage Portfolio companies to scale successfully.

 

Before Cannon, Kwamena was a Vice President in the Operations Group at American Capital, a publicly traded private equity firm acquired by Ares Management in 2017. While at Cannon and American Capital, Kwamena also held VP of Finance, CFO, and Board Director roles at portfolio companies in the technology, manufacturing, retail services, and food and beverage sectors. Kwamena began his career in finance at the Clinton Group, a multi-strategy hedge fund, and was an Associate Director at UBS Investment Bank before joining American Capital.

Kwamena earned his BA from Columbia University and MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Kwamena was born and raised in New Orleans.
