ABOUT BOND

 

Jamie Bond is an accomplished executive who brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her role in leading ideation and solution development. Specializing in strategy and planning, she has effectively operated across various domains, addressing technical, operational, regulatory and stakeholder engagement needs for major initiatives and investment programs.

Currently serving as the Chief Research & Strategy Officer at Navigating Grey, Jamie heads the firm’s Research and Auditing division. With nearly 20 years of experience in strategy and technology planning, she has a core focus on electric utility transformation, system modernization planning, infrastructure deployment, and distributed energy resource integration.

​

Before joining Navigating Grey, Jamie developed solutions to address complex needs for energy industry and public sector clients. As an advisory consultant at PA Consulting and Guidehouse, she played a crucial role in digital transformation, energy transition, climate resilience, and sustainability. Additionally, Jamie held key leadership positions in utility investment programs and transformation initiatives at Duke Energy. Notably, she served as the initiative manager for Duke Energy’s $16.3 billion grid modernization investments, contributed to the development of Duke Energy’s inaugural Plug-in Electric Vehicle Program Internal Readiness, and managed industry and community outreach and stakeholder engagement for Duke’s Grid Modernization business unit.

Located in Charlotte, Jamie sits on the Advisory Board of Carolina Community Impact, a nonprofit organization that provides financial services to low and moderate-income individuals and small businesses in North Carolina. Jamie earned her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Florida A&M, a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University, and an MBA from Wake Forest University. Additionally, she holds professional certifications in sustainability and climate risk, project management, and energy management.
